Prohibited Items Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Some things can't be listed, sold, given away or linked on Filagora — as a printed item, as a file, or in a post. This list applies to every shop and every user, wherever they are.
1. Weapons — zero tolerance
3D printing has a weapons problem, and we want no part of it. None of these, in any form:
- Firearms and any firearm part: frames, receivers (including incomplete or "80%" receivers and receiver jigs), slides, barrels, magazines and parts kits.
- Files, CAD models, blueprints or instructions for any of the above — for sale, for free, or as a link.
- Conversion devices that make a firearm fire automatically: Glock switches, auto sears, lightning links.
- Suppressors and silencers, "solvent traps", bump stocks and forced-reset triggers.
- Realistic replica firearms, and the files to print them.
- Ammunition and ammunition components, explosives and fireworks.
- Brass knuckles, switchblades, butterfly knives, throwing stars (shuriken), kubotans and other weapons designed to hurt people.
2. What's fine
- Holsters, display stands, wall mounts and racks.
- Clearly toy-like props, and fantasy or sci-fi cosplay props that don't replicate a real firearm. Prop guns shipped to the US must have a permanent blaze-orange tip, as federal law requires.
- Decorative plastic swords and props that can't cut.
3. Drugs, tobacco and hazardous materials
- Drugs and drug paraphernalia, including pipes, bongs and grinders marketed for drug use.
- Tobacco, vapes, e-cigarettes and their parts.
- Hazardous materials: uncured resin, solvents, flammable or pressurised items, and anything unsafe to ship.
4. Health and safety
- Recalled items, or copies of them.
- Small, loose high-powered magnets that a child could swallow (magnets securely built into a print are fine).
- Medical devices, and any medical or protective-equipment claim — for example "medical grade", "treats", "certified PPE" or "protects against viruses".
- Children's products that don't meet the safety rules in the Seller Policy — toys for under-12s need CPSIA (US) or CE + EN 71 (EU) compliance, or must be listed as "Collectible — not a toy, 14+".
- "Food safe" claims without a certified material and coating.
5. Adult, hateful and violent content
- Sexual content and nudity, including adult toys.
- Items that promote hate or discrimination against people for who they are, or symbols of hate groups.
- Items that glorify violence, terrorism, or people known for violent crimes.
6. Counterfeits and other people's brands
- Counterfeits, replicas sold as originals, and items designed to pass as another brand's product.
- Unlicensed trademarks, logos and characters — from games, films, toys and sports. You need a licence from the owner, whoever designed the model.
- Anything that breaks the Maker Standards or the IP & Takedown Policy.
7. Security and surveillance
- Lock picks, bump keys, shims and other bypass tools. Practice locks and cut-away (transparent) locks for learning are fine.
- Hidden cameras and devices made to record people secretly.
- Fake IDs, badges or documents, and anything designed to deceive.
8. Anything illegal where you or the buyer are
Laws differ between countries and states. If an item is illegal where you are or where the buyer is, don't list it or ship it there. When in doubt, ask us first.
9. How we enforce this
Obvious terms — like "auto sear" or "80% lower" — are blocked automatically, so the listing can't be saved. Everything else is removed after review, when we find it or someone reports it, and the seller is told why.
Weapons or weapon parts can mean suspension on the first violation. For other items, repeat or serious violations lead to suspension; see the enforcement steps in the Seller Policy. Seen something that shouldn't be here? Use Report on the listing or post, our report form, or email support@filagora.com.
