Fees & Payments Policy

Last updated: October 2026

What it costs to sell on Filagora, how you get paid, and what happens when an order is refunded. Short version: listing is free, you pay only when you sell, and there are no surprise fees.

1. What you pay

  • Opening a shop: a one-time, non-refundable $14.00 setup fee, paid by card in the last setup step. Your card is saved securely with Stripe for the case below.
  • Listing: free. List as many items as you like, for as long as you like.
  • Transaction fee on printed items: 6% of what the buyer pays for the item plus shipping.
  • Transaction fee on digital files: 8% of the file price.
  • Payment processing: 3% + $0.25 per order (items plus shipping). This covers card costs.

Example: a $30.00 item with $6.00 shipping → transaction fee $2.16, processing $1.33, you keep $32.51. See how that compares on our seller fees page.

2. What you don't pay

  • No subscription, no monthly plan, no listing or renewal fees.
  • No offsite-ads fee. When Filagora advertises on Google, Meta, TikTok or anywhere else, we pay for it — never a cut of your sale.
  • Filagora Ads are optional and cost per click ($0.10–$3.00), taken from your balance like any other fee. See the Ads Policy.

3. How you get paid

Buyers pay Filagora, and Filagora collects that payment on your behalf as your limited payment collection agent: once a buyer has paid us, the buyer has paid you. Your share (the order total minus our fees) goes into your Filagora balance, which the Payouts page shows order by order.

  • Printed items: earnings become available 25 days after the order was paid, and at least 10 days after you mark it shipped — time to make it, ship it and for the buyer to report a problem.
  • Digital files: 7 days after the buyer pays.
  • Every Monday we send your available balance by bank transfer (ACH) once it's at least $25.00. It usually arrives in 1–3 business days. Payouts are free.

The hold protects buyers and you: refunds and card disputes within that window come out of the order itself, not out of money you've already received.

4. Your payout account: a US bank account

We pay into a US bank account in your own name, wherever you live — you don't need a company. If you don't have one, services such as Wise, Payoneer or Cenoa give you US account details (routing and account number) online, usually for free. Payouts in US dollars mean no exchange-rate loss on our side; your provider may convert to your local currency.

Along with the account we ask for the IRS tax form a US marketplace must keep on file: W-8BEN if you're not a US person (most sellers outside the US — no US tax is withheld on your sales), W-9 if you are. You fill it in and sign it online in the Shop Manager.

Account numbers and tax IDs are encrypted and used only for payouts and tax reporting. We can't pay people or banks in sanctioned countries.

5. Currencies

Prices are set and shown in US dollars, and buyers can pay from almost any country. Payouts are in US dollars.

6. Cancellations, refunds and chargebacks

  • If an order is cancelled or refunded, you're not charged our transaction fee on the refunded amount, and its earnings leave your balance. If they were already paid out, your balance goes below zero and is netted from your next sales.
  • Refunds made through Purchase Protection work the same way — except when seller protection applies (lost or transit-damaged parcels you shipped on time with tracking): then the refund doesn't come out of your earnings, up to US$250 per order.
  • If your balance goes below zero (for example from ad clicks before your first sale, or a refund after a payout), it's netted from your next sales. If it stays below −$25, we may charge the card you saved when you opened your shop.
  • If a buyer disputes a charge with their bank (a chargeback), we respond for you with your evidence — tracking, messages, photos. If the bank decides for the buyer, the disputed amount is reversed from your earnings for that order.

7. Fee changes

We announce any fee change at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email and in the Shop Manager. Orders placed before the change keep the old fees.

8. Taxes and tax forms

Where the law requires, we collect tax details from you (such as a taxpayer ID) and report your sales — for example Form 1099-K in the US, DAC7 reports in the EU. You're responsible for your own income tax. Where Filagora is the marketplace facilitator or deemed supplier, we collect and remit sales tax or VAT on those orders, and it doesn't count towards your fees. Questions: support@filagora.com.
